Rental Agreement & Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the rental agreement between Happily Hire After (the “Provider”) and you, the “Client,” for the hire of wedding and event décor items.

By placing a booking with us, you confirm that you agree to the following terms:

1. Parties

Provider:
Happily Hire After

Client:
The person or entity placing the booking and entering into this rental agreement.

2. Rental Items

The Provider agrees to rent the following items as specified in your booking confirmation:

  • Item description(s)

  • Quantity

  • Any custom or bespoke details

3. Hire Period

  • Start Date & Time: As per booking confirmation

  • End Date & Time: As per booking confirmation

  • Items are available for use only during the agreed hire period.

4. Delivery, Setup & Collection

  • Delivery Address, Date & Time: Confirmed upon booking

  • Setup Completion Time: Provided in your confirmation

  • Collection Time: Agreed in advance

The Provider is responsible for delivery, setup, and collection unless alternative arrangements are agreed in writing.

5. Payment Details

  • Total Rental Fee:  As per booking confirmation

  • Deposit (non-refundable): As per booking confirmation

  • Remaining Balance: As per booking confirmation

Payment Methods Accepted: Bank transfer, card payment, or other agreed method.

6. Late Fees

Late return of rental items will incur a £100 per day fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation by Client:

  • More than 30 days before event: Full refund minus deposit

  • 15–30 days before event: 50% of total rental fee refunded

  • Less than 15 days before event: No refund

Cancellation by Provider:
If the Provider cancels, a full refund (including deposit) will be issued.

8. Security Deposit

A refundable £70 security deposit is required before your event.
This covers:

  • Damage to items

  • Lost items

  • Excessive cleaning needs

Refunds are processed within 1 business day after the items are returned and inspected.

9. Damage, Loss & Cleaning

The Client is responsible for all hired items from the moment of delivery to the point of collection.

  • Damaged or missing items will be charged at replacement value.

  • Items must be returned clean and in original condition.

  • Additional cleaning charges may apply where items are returned in poor condition.

10. Force Majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Provider.
Any changes must be agreed upon in writing by both parties.

13. Agreement & Acceptance

By placing a booking with Happily Hire After, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
